Class Description:
This session consists of two cases. The first is a young woman with compression of the cervical spinal cord (myelopathy). The second case is of a work comp injury in a 50 year old male that was mis-diagnosed by his “company doctor” and correctly diagnosed as an L4 radiculopathy by Dr. Ferezy.
The viewer will be able to recite essential features regarding the review of existing patient records.
The viewer will be able to list methods and mechanisms regarding the patient examination.
The viewer will be able to compare and contrast the signs and symptoms of various conditions that have presented to a doctor of chiropractic with emphasis on differential diagnosis.
The viewer will be able to itemize methods and techniques regarding proper patient examination performance.
The viewer will be able to describe the anatomy of the cervical spinal cord and course of the exiting cervical nerves.
The viewer will be able to list signs and symptoms of a patient with myelopathy.
The viewer will be able to describe the anatomy of the exiting lumbar nerve roots and femoral nerve.
The viewer will be able to list signs and symptoms of a patient with an L4 radiculopathy.
