Class Description:
This class includes a videotaped patient case. The patient was brought by her treating chiropractor to the neurology diplomate program at Northwestern college of Chiropractic. She was an 23 year old female chiropractic student with multiple complaints following a collision with a bus. This class includes a review of the medical records prior to meeting the patient, the complete recorded examination with discussion, and a brief case discussion to conclude.
OBJECTIVES:
The viewer will be able to recite essential features regarding the review of existing patient records.
The viewer will be able to list methods and mechanisms regarding the patient examination.
The viewer will be able to compare and contrast the signs and symptoms of various conditions that have
presented to a doctor of chiropractic with emphasis on differential diagnosis.
The viewer will be able to itemize methods and techniques regarding proper patient examination performance.
The viewer will be able to list signs and symptoms of a patient with post traumatic neuromusculoskeletal injuries as well as traumatic brain injury.
